1. Desktop edition for single analysts/designers who don't need code generation or reverse engineering capability
2. Professional edition for analysts/designers/developers working alone or in a workgroup who require code handling
capabilities and the ability to share models interactively with others in their team
3. Corporate edition, which includes all the features of the Desktop and Professional version, with the added ability
to connect to to SQL Server or MySQL as the model repository, and to set up and administer user security for a model.
Desktop Edition. (SKU EADESK) Comprehensive UML modelling tool for an individual analyst/developer. Supports all the professional features with the exception of code import/export and the ability to share projects.

Payment Options
For your convenience, Sparx Systems has contracted e-commerce provider RegSoft.com
so that you may pay your Enterprise Architect registration fee safely and securely.
Please contact RegSoft.com for registration payments only. This provider
handles secure credit card, fax
and phone orders.
When you have paid the registration fee, you will be sent an email containing a registration
key and the address of where to download the full version of EA. The download
file is the same for the Professional and Desktop versions, the registration key determines
which features are enabled.
We have chosen an electronic delivery method for the following reasons:
- Speed/Time - a download is faster, and you receive your product in minutes or hours rather than days or weeks.
- You pay no shipping fees
- We can keep the one source up-to-date with the most recent executable, without having to worry about stock levels

Purchase Enterprise Architect on CD To keep the price of Enterprise Architect low, we have elected to distribute EA
electronically (via the web). However if you require the EA setup file on CD then for a small additional charge we can provide you with one.
The cost of this depends on the type of delivery and the destination country, please contact
enquiries@advantages.co.nz for a quote.
Note: The CD will be created and sent by Sparx Systems using the currently released version at the time of purchase.
However when you purchase EA, you are entitled to download the latest release of EA (at your convenience) for a 12 month period,
free of charge. On average we release a new build every 2 weeks (includes mainly new functionality plus bug fixes and refinements).
Therefore it is possible by the time you receive the CD (as it will be delivery from Australia) another build (or 2) has been released.
Student/Academic Licenses
Enterprise Architect is also available to students and educational

Enterprise Architect - Upgrades and Subscription Information
- When you purchase Enterprise Architect (any version) you are entitled to a minimum 1 year's support and free upgrades for that version.
- After the year has expired, you may take out a subscription at 1/3 the current retail price of the version you purchased - this renews the support and free upgrades for a further year.
- Once you have purchased EA, you are always entitled to a subscription rate if desired (for the number of licenses that were originally purchased). So, if your subscription lapses, you may restart your subscription (and get the latest version) at any time at the current subscription rate.
- You may upgrade your version of EA at any time by paying the current difference between the version you own and the version you wish to upgrade to. Subscription rates will require adjustment as well.
